Media awards

Approval This was a very good film because it allowed the audience to feel attached to the character and some people may be able to relate or imagine what is it like to have a best friend who you always are with and then gets in to a deadly situation. The  camera work in this was great as the zooming in and out really immersed the viewers and showed the surroundings.  I think that the cinematography was very good in this film because when the girl got kidnapped it only showed the girls face when she was walking and then suddenly someones hand comes from behind and covers her mouth suddenly tension with in the audience. Also the camera zoomed on different characters which might be hinting to the audience the importance of each character in the individual scene. Euphoria   I thought this was also a very good project. A main feature of this film was the non diegetical voice overs. It allowed the audience to follow and understand the story line in the film. There was also an establish

Clockwork orange: Choice of music: In the scene, classical music is played in the background which is contrapuntal to the scene as the scene is quite violent. I wouldn't expect to hear classical music in a fighting scene, however i have found it quite common in comedies and whenever its used, the scene is normally in slow motion. Why do you think the director used this piece to go with the action on the screen: Personally, i believe the director used the apposing music to create a comical feel to the screen, especially in the way the violence is conducted. The way he hit the private part of the person he was with and the clothing they wore was quite comical and the opposing music makes it less serious. The slow mo makes it fit with the music and the dramatic leaps also fit it. funny games: What is the director saying about the family from the music played? Rock music is quite a aggressive style of music and it is associated with being rebellious. This may imply that

Lighting: still image analysis

Image
Low-key lighting has been used here to add to the detective aspect of this poster top lighting has been used here as the light is coming from the top left and shining on half of the woman's face leaving the other half dark or in a shadow its also looks like back lighting has been used here to give shadows in front of her. the light that's been used give a detective or crime/drama feel to the image.  Low-key lighting lighting is used here to draw attention to the womans face and her facial features. Top lighting is used here it draws attention to the actors facial features e.g. the lips and eyes and beautifies the woman making her look glamorous. this gives a drama or noire feel to the image. The use of a key light here helps us see the entire picture clearly, The use of a top lighting from a filler light helps us see the facial features such as the cheek bones, and gives the shadow under his eyes to connote a more sinister demeanour.  This is an

mise-en-scene video assessment

Jagraj WWW-  The video had good music this kept me entertained throughout the video and it wasn't too long. The make up and props that were used were interesting and made the character and theme stand out especially the fur at the back as it gave it more of the 'Red Indian look'. EBI -He could've chosen a better setting for his video as it would've brought more attention to the character and theme of his project. For example he could've chose a more  stylish background to make it look more  professional as the wardrobe wasn't very appealing.  Kacper WWW - The make up was good especially the scar which added to the theme and aspect of the project as it made her look quite scary. The video speed was good, it wasn't to slow. The clear background allowed brought the characters theme and costume out more and added to the effect of the make up. EBI - There should've been music playing as it got quite boring without music and made the project see
