Cinematography
The initial shot was a tracking shot showing us a man walking into a bank. After the setting is established the camera goes in for close ups of the characters. This is done to create tension as the audience wonders whats going to happen next, the camera then switches between the faces of the crew of bank robbers as they begin to put their plan to action, this makes the audience intrigued to find out whats going to happen and how.One of the characters then begin to walk around the bank, shouting at the people in bank telling them that they shouldn't act smart and that their money is insured by the government and they are taking money and no one should try to stop them ,the shots used in this scene of the character moving around was a pan shot as well as a crane shot so it was from the top and the camera was also moving really fast indicating the movement of the character around the bank and the speed he was walking with. The camera then zooms into the character who was walking around the bank whilst he goes to the bank manager and grabs the key of his neck that leads them to the vault. The director then begins to use over the shoulder shots so as the protagonist walks opening each door the camera was also behind him covering just the shoulder .The bank had a weak security this is shown by the fact that only one key is needed to open the vault and get to the money. The camera is then held still as he reaches to the vault and takes the money and puts it into the bag. Then one by one all the bags are filled with money and handed to each of the team and they all leave the bank whilst this is happening the camera focuses on close ups of their faces then the camera cuts to an office of the CID where they just find out about the bank robbery as everyone rushes out to the car and heads toward the bank .The camera focuses on the police officers in the car showing how serious and determined they are to catch the robbers, the camera then cuts to outside the bank where the robbers are walking towards the car in a very natural way so that they don't look suspicious out . The pace of editing over all is very fast as the cuts and transitions are also very fast creating and building tension of the audience and leaving them with enigma codes. Just before the last robber is about the sit in the car, gun firing starts and all of a sudden the action has started and a very intense gun scene starts where everyone is trying to run from danger .The director at this point focuses on the police officers and the robbers and uses a shot reverse shot to show the audience the expressions of the character .In the background we can hear gun shots and people screaming this shows that the director has used parallel sound in the background. The pace of editing differs. The scene begins with very slow paced and well though out between each cut, being long enough for the audience to identify what's happening but not too long for it to become tedious. Once the action begins the pace of the editing rises significantly to go along with the shooting and continues to create tension for the audience. The scene takes on continuity editing, each shot following up from the prior shot building up to the suspenseful events. This is done to entice the audience and keep them excited for what is about to happen. There is also use of Juxtaposition in this scene showing us the good&bad side by switching between the two and giving us small insights on both the cops and robbers.
